It has just been announced that after school club, Code Club is expanding its resources to help children at home and at school. The club, which was originally open to children who had a facility near to them, wants to expand even further across the country and we want your say on this new venture for your children.
With over 2,000 projects already up and running in the UK, Code Club want to get even more children involved with their project.
The Coding Club teaches children as young as 9 - 11 years old how to make their own websites as well as other fun projects and games. The club is expanding and wants to be available at home and at school for children who do not have a Code Club programme near to them.
From its popular success as an after school club, the programme now wants to expand by training teachers and have a resourceful website open for children to use with you at home.
Children learn how to make computer games, animations and websites. At the moment Code Club go into after school clubs at schools for an hour to teach the children a new project all week and what’s great is that this is now available for you parents to learn and have fun at home too.
Here at Crafty Kids we think the idea is great. But we want your say, does the idea of your children learning how to make websites and games interest you or do you think children as young as 9-11 shouldn't be learning this yet?
